The Agrifood Centre was established in 1995, at the University of Plymouth. The centre incorporates the Regional Food Technology Transfer Centre (RFTTC) for the South-West in association with DEFRA.

The Centre is a University of Plymouth Centre of Expertise specialising in the Information, Training and Continuous Professional Development, Consultancy and Research needs of the Agri-food sector.
